Google Reader Closing

Like many others who are using Google reader, I was upset on what Google is doing. I knew something was amiss when last year they cut off adsense on RSS feed for Google.

Google reader is a useful free services as it provide such convenience to read all the web update at one location according to the arrangement of the feed we fancy. We may take Google product too much for granted as after all this is a free service and Google has the right to close any of their product any time they want.

On Google end, they claimed that the Reader usage is dying. While I may agree that could be a possibility but that also has to do with most website did a proper job in translating their feed to RSS friendly. I always felt frustrated of reading those feed that is incomplete on Google Reader.

Many Google users commented that Google should shut down their Google+ rather than reader which I kinda agree too. Who actually use that?

Digg on the other hand took hold of this move by Google and they are going to work on their RSS reader in hope to get the users of Google.

As for me, I will be waiting out as I am pretty sure many others will start to caterer for this demand and we certainly can look forward to better services.

Pet Sweep NOT

Have you have a Pet like a Dog or Cat? Instead of you cleaning up after them around the house, you can make them more useful by getting them to wear Pet Sweep.

You can now get them to wear different stuff so whenever they walk, they clean or do some house cleaning.

Brilliant? Not really. Just in case you want to buy this as a real product, the only thing real is the box packaging. What it is inside the box? Nothing. Basically this is for you to put your gift in so when your friend open the present, you will see his or her ridiculous expression like "Are you serious?" before he or she unbox to see what you have for her.

This Box is on sale and the actual size are 11.25 x 9 x 3.25.

Don't fall for it! LOL

Pinterest on Android & iOS

It has been quite a wait and finally Pinterest has it own Apps on both Android (Google Play) and iOS (iTune).

The Apps is free to download and the display is very clean and neat.

Maybe it's me but I felt the layout which consist of 2 columns on the screen look better than the PC.

The loading speed of the picture on this app is reasonably fast too!

With this Apps, it give me more reason to read the pins conveniently.

How to apply Mosaic or Censor Photo on Android

Have you ever want to share a photo or a screenshot on your Android device but you do not want some sensitive information on part of the photo to be seen by others? In those times, you wished you know how to apply some censorship on the photo you are about to share on social media.

I faced that issue too and I had found one of the useful photo editing apps on Android to do that job.

One of the Free Android Apps that can do such function is Photo Art- Color Effects from Fun Factory.

When you open the Apps, you have can choose picture from Gallery or take a Photo with the camera function and later edit it. For this walk through, I chose a photo from Gallery.

Once you selected the photo. For this tutorial, I will mosaic the eye of the poster girl. Click on the "Effect" at the bottom of the screen.

There are various effect to choose from but keep scrolling right until you see Pixelize.

The picture in the center will refresh as the pixelize effect will be apply as a preview on the center photo. You may adjust the Pixelize option to your own liking.Once ready, select "Painting Mode" button on the bottom of the screen.

Now you need to choose the brush sizes so that the pixelize effect can be apply with the brush to the area you wanted it to Mosaic.

Now just use your finger to apply to the area you want the Mosaic to apply to. If you made mistake you can click on the Eraser on the lower left button and then go and clear those area with a finger.

Once you are ready, click on the lower right Menu button and it will refresh four option for you. Choose to "Save to Gallery" to save your work.

Now you can apply Mosaic on photos or even conversation you wanted to share by masking off some important information like the following.

All these can be done locally on your Android devices and you can then share the photo to any social media. It is all up to you.

If you find this information useful, share this on your social media too! :)
