We have been living with this Covid-19 pandemic for 2 years and counting. Many have been tired of this new normal and wanted life to just go back as before.
Vaccination seems to be the nearest answer or the only choice to get us back there. We also learned that as number of infection increases, the virus get an "upgrade" as that is natural law of organism.
Same Same but Different
Today there are a couple of variants of the same Covid-19 and these variant came from the same region and location and thus was first given the country name. Not pointing in any particular region specifically, we can see the virus evolved in that region due to factor like genes pool and community environment of the host. As the number increased of the similar gene pool, the virus get that "upgrade" as they learned how to deal with that gene pool.
If we looked into the history of pandemic, we can see the genes of a community and location play a big part of history.
So that comes to a question what if the virus stay at a certain location for a long period of time, what will happen?
When some human survived and some passed on perhaps the herd immunity will happen as the virus reside in that location and get less effective. For that time is a factor and do we give it that long period of time to do so?
When Host move, Virus follow
Never in history of time we see a virus evolved in such a short time to so many people. This happen because we have come to an age that in the span of 24 hours we can be at the opposite side of the world.
Yes air travel be it for business or Pleasure. So much so that many take this privilege's as an entitlement.
Was a the fabric of society built on purely trade or tourism?
Or is it because of globalization we can find cheaper source and have maximum profit?
Only during this pandemic period we can see what is essential to us
Choice of Vaccination
The society have been divided with the choice of Vaccination. We witnessed two extreme from "Should I trust in vaccination?" to the other end of witch hunting those who are not vaccinated that shamed and labeled them as selfish individual.
Even when you decided to get on board on vaccination, you have to choose which vaccine you want to take and which is more effective one which further divided the society of their conviction.
Nonetheless vaccination is still a personal choice but do we care enough to respect on individual like their choice of religion? Or are we like "you can believe in any religion is fine but you must have a religion as a human being".
If what you just read give you some excitement to react to, that is very much on the topic of one believe in vaccination as well.
Finally the fact of being an vaccinated induvial do not mean you wont get sick (you still need to take medical leave and feel horrible) from the virus and you would still spread the virus as you are the host.
Mind our Steps
I guess the helpless part of this pandemic is not what we can stop the virus movement in the light of "open their economy". This would be a circle as every new travel is a new opportunity for getting the virus and spreading it.
Till then we have to look out for ourselves and watch our feet where we go. The prolong of movement is equal to the prolong of this pandemic and we know it well in this 2 years by the opening and half closing and opening it for God sakes.
By the way, please stop blaming God (but it make you feel better then go ahead as you have a free choice as well). If you think God allow this to happen then maybe God is trying to get your attention to rethink what is the meaning of our life too.
